Dear Pet Parents,

We have some exciting news about the recent transition from Certified Veterinary Technicians to Licensed Veterinary Technicians!

As of July 1, 2026, Minnesota requires individuals using the title Veterinary Technician to be licensed. This helps ensure that veterinary technicians meet consistent professional standards and gives pet owners confidence in the training and qualifications of the team caring for their pets.

Licensed Veterinary Technicians have completed specialized education, passed a national licensing examination, and met state licensing requirements. They play an essential role in your pet’s care by assisting with exams, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory testing, dental procedures, nursing care, client education, and much more.

At our clinic, our LVTs work closely with our veterinarians to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care for every patient. Whether they’re answering your questions, monitoring your pet during surgery, or providing hands-on nursing care, they’re an important part of your pet’s healthcare team.

Please help us in congratulating our Technicians on their hard work!
