Veterinarian
Dr. Ford-Bonnema grew up in southwestern Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine. She resides in the metro with her husband, Nathan (also a veterinarian), daughter (Mae), 2 dogs (Blue and Zucchini), 3 cats (Girl, Weasel, Fat fat), and a hoard of little exotic creatures (Sushi the bearded dragon, snakes - Rawmin and Sugar, Axolotls - Unagi and Ponyo, and Cucumber the Russian Dwarf Hamster).
In her spare time, she likes to hike with her husband, sing karaoke, create art projects at home, and endlessly watch the TV show FRIENDS. Her bucket list includes kayaking with orcas, feeding baby pandas, and swimming with Manatees. She is a board member for a wildlife sanctuary in Wisconsin and loves spending time in nature.
Dr. Ford is a member of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Her special veterinary interests include internal medicine, surgery, ultrasound, and behavior. One of her favorite aspects of being a veterinarian is learning new techniques and therapies to better serve her patients’ needs. Although she loves getting visits from puppies and kittens, she has a deep love for geriatric pets.
