Graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. Prior to returning to school, she worked in immunology research for a small biotechnology company for 6 years. She received her B.A. in biology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa in 1981. She enjoys the diversity of general practice and loves internal medicine, especially immunology and endocrinology. She is a member of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Academy of Veterinary Medical Practice, and is a past president of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Association.
Dr. Bey and her significant other, Dave, own a small hobby farm in Belle Plaine, MN. They share their home with 2 house cats “Ellie” and “Mo” and three parrots. Dr. Bey is pictured here with her golden retriever/black lab “Madge” (adopted from R.A.G.O.M). Dr. Bey and Dave recently adopted a second RAGOM dog in the summer of 2015. Her name is Lu. She was found living in a culvert in south western Minnesota and she tested positive for Heartworm Disease. Lu says ” Don’t forget to give your monthly heartworm preventative!” Dr. Bey’s hobbies outside of the veterinary field include hiking, cross-country skiing, music, cooking, and yoga.
