“Lennon” Wisner 1984-1997 “You were with me through the good and the bad times as no human has ever come close. I had the vet come to the house to put her to sleep, I gave her a treat, told her how much she meant to me over all those years and kissed her good-bye. There will be only one “Lennon”. I miss you dearly, my friend. If there really is a God… we will all be together again. ” -a quote from her owner.
“Mac” aka “McCartney” 1994-2011 “You came to me when Lennon was in her last years of life. You filled the void when she left and you became “Top Dog”. You shared your space and your heart when Sassy came to join us, and for 17 years you were the one who filled the home with love and smiles. You will always be loved and one day we will all be together again.” -a quoted from her owner

“Maggie” Kuhl Maggie left this world peacefully on June 23, 2008 on Kathy’s lap. Her owners, Tom and Kathy wrote a beautiful letter to memorialize her. “She was our personal trainer, our nurse, our assistant chef, our personal bed-warmer, my main photography subject, Tom’s first-mate of the Regal Boat, and co-captain for every trip to St. Louis. She was our therapist when we had a bad day, she was my partner in crime (she knew every new shoe I bought and never told Tom), she was Tom’s right-hand for every home improvement project (although they never did manage to fix the dryer). She was also the star of our own sitcom-she managed to inject enough chaos to keep us on our toes and keep us laughing…from every up-rooted houseplant, to eating the couch, to her diarrhea blow out at Hardee’s in Mexico, MO (and the one at the Flying J in Iowa, and the one during a dinner party)…we should have re-though her diet, I guess. She kept us humble, while teaching us patience (A LOT of patience!!). She taught us to live in the moment-to live each day as a new day and to make time to roll in the grass, chase bird shadows, play in the sprinkler, go for a swim or just run circles in the yard. So many of you knew Maggie so well and have your own stories, so we really want to Thank You so much for the help you have provided over the years in caring for Maggie. As Tom and I have said so many times – it took a village. So Thank you to all of you! The Kuhls

“Cynder” (Mattson) Fehr September 22nd, 1998- May 6th, 2012 Cynder died peacefully at home after her battle with kidney disease. She was the “runt of the litter” and I remember Dr. Toogood Seeing her for her first visit and she was covered in mites! She recovered from the mites and though small, lived a huge, wonderful life of 13.5 years with her mom and dad. These pets, they are our family and we will join them at the end of our journeys. – with love from cynder’s family
“Sweet Pea” Karrow December 1st, 1999 – May 21st, 2012 When we first rescued Sweet Pea, she was heart worm positive and had a bullet lodged in her shoulder. Eventually she recovered and became the best dog, she was sweet, gentle, friendly, and most of all loving. She was my friend, companion, car ride buddy, camping partner, good luck charm at poker games, and bed warmer. On our way to our last visit to the vet, she had a caramel sundae, a double cheeseburger, a cod sandwich, and French fries. I will never forget how she tried to “eat” my fingers to get all the cod off of them… she went full, content, and happy. Gone yet not forgotten, although we are apart, your spirit lives within me, forever in my heart. I miss you Sweet Pea. (From her dad)
“Bear” Quinn October 28th, 1996 – April 13th, 2012

“Hogan” Morris April 1st, 2001 – January 24th, 2013 Hogan was one of the sweetest dogs with a gentle soul beyond compare. He left this world too soon, but filled so many lives with love and joy! I am so thankful to have been his Doggie mom for just a while. Hoagie..may you rest in peace sweet love! -from his friend and caregiver Jen Yoraway.
